He has handled innumerable title insurance related cases — jury and non-jury cases and appeals in state and federal courts . He has vast experience in a variety of cases, including complex title-related issues, coverage questions and bad faith claims asserted directly against title insurance companies.

Louis also handles other business and commercial litigation and federal criminal defense.

He received his undergraduate degree from the American University in Washington, D.C. He graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, Associate Justice of the Order of Wig and Robe, a semi-finalist in the Regional Mock Trial Competition, sponsored by the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and a recipient of the Richard J. Foster award for academic achievement.

Louis joined Callison Tighe in 1987, after serving four years on active duty in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, United States Navy, and having served in the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service, Washington, D.C. He retired in 2005 as a Commander, Judge Advocate General’s Corps, U.S. Navy Reserve.
