Madison C. Schmid

Madison is an associate in the Corporate & Securities practice group. Madi advises clients on matters related to all aspects of corporate law, representing clients from business formation through exit planning. Madi represents a broad array of startup and early-stage companies, entrepreneurs, investors, private equity firms and privately held entrepreneurial businesses across many industries. In her venture capital and emerging company transactions, Madi regularly advises on company formation and strategy, corporate governance and investor relations, venture capital equity and debt financings and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting and compliance.

In her M&A work, Madi guides clients through sophisticated mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and recapitalizations. She provides comprehensive counsel on transaction structuring, diligence and the preparation of transaction documents. Madi works with private equity funds to acquire portfolio companies, complete add-on acquisitions, handle day-to-day legal work for portfolio companies and eventually sell such companies.
