About Mallory H. Thomas
Mallory Thomas practices in the area of insurance and reinsurance. Her practice focuses on complex insurance coverage litigation and counseling. She represents surplus and admitted insurers in state and federal court in Florida in third-party coverage matters arising under commercial general liability, commercial auto, professional liability, premises liability and personal liability policies, including issues such as the duty to defend, duty to indemnify, work-related injuries, assault and battery claims, wrongful death claims and construction defect claims. She also advises liability insurers regarding demands by claimants for policy limits, including situations involving multiple claimants and multiple insureds and other extra-contractual matters. In addition to handling matters in Florida, Mallory has counseled insurers on matters in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Georgia, Indiana, New York, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
While in law school, Mallory served as a judicial intern for U.S. Magistrate Judge Anthony E. Porcelli and U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Catherine P. McEwen of the Middle District of Florida. She also interned with the U.S. Department of Justice, assisting with the development of a national database.
