Biography
About Mariah Harrod
Mariah’s resourceful nature and focus on the art of persuasion allow her to navigate the intricacies of each case and hold bad-faith actors accountable.
Mariah brings a vibrant energy to Keller Rohrback’s nationally recognized Complex Litigation Group and is dedicated to using complex litigation as an avenue for equity, ensuring that the interests of the public are protected against systemic corporate overreach. She excels at analyzing complex regulatory frameworks and pursuing logical conclusions to hold large corporations responsible.
Her practice is defined by a rigorous approach to rule-intensive litigation, having led administrative challenges to air permits and managed discovery in high-stakes environmental and public records cases. Mariah has experience conducting and defending depositions, drafting summary judgment motions, working with experts, conducting discovery, defending standing, writing public comments on permits and regulations, and arguing dispositive motions. She has also drafted notices, complaints, and motions and negotiated settlements for highly technical federal lawsuits. She is particularly drawn to the impact of class actions, viewing them as a "heavy-hitting" tool that simultaneously helps large groups of people while meaningfully penalizing bad actors.
Licensed in both Washington and Texas, Mariah’s legal knowledge and experience spans federal environmental statutes and regulations to public records and constitutional rights. Before joining the firm, she sharpened her litigation skills as a staff attorney at the Environmental Integrity Project and as an associate at a boutique firm in Seattle.
Outside of the office, Mariah is an avid boulderer, hiker, and inventive vegan cook.
