Mark A. Bank

Mark Bank's legal career has focused on complex matrimonial matters for more than 30 years.

For 2020 and 2021, he was voted as one of the "Top 10 Lawyers in Michigan" by Super Lawyers, and every year since 2009, he has been named as one of the "Top 100 Lawyers in Michigan" by Super Lawyers. Best Lawyers selected him as the Detroit Family Law "Lawyer of the Year" for 2014-2015 and Troy Family Law "Lawyer of the Year" for 2016-2017.

Mark is a Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers, regarded as one of the top 100 family law attorneys in the United States. He is a Fellow in the nationally distinguished American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and also a Fellow in the International Academy of Family Lawyers.

Mark is a partner at Bank Rifkin in Birmingham, Michigan. He is admitted to practice in Michigan, Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. He has also been engaged to handle divorce cases around the country, having been admitted pro hac vice in Florida, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and Illinois.

From 1998 to 2019 he was an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Michigan State University College of Law where he taught Domestic Relations and Matrimonial Practice. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law where he taught Family Law. He also guest lectured at the University of Michigan Law School.

Mark is a graduate of the University of Michigan, with distinction, and the George Washington University Law School.

He actively serves on an advisory board to the University of Michigan Department of Urology through which he raises funds for prostate cancer research. He previously served as a Trustee on the Bloomfield Hills Schools Board of Education, and he is the former Vice President of the Bloomfield Baseball League. Mark has also been on the Board of Governors of the University of Michigan Alumni Association of Greater Detroit and the Donor Advisory Board of Children's Hospital of Michigan.
