Before moving to the defense side of the bar, Mark Deniz was an award-winning prosecutor for almost 10 years. He has spent years as both a Deputy District Attorney and a San Diego Deputy City Attorney. He was trained on the handling of DUI & Criminal cases. He was trained at the Department of Justice National Advocacy Center in Columbia, South Carolina. His time as a San Diego Prosecutor helped establish him with prosecutors and Judges, who he now works with on behalf of his clients. While as both a Prosecutor and Defense Attorney, Mark Deniz has handled the range of criminal defense spectrum of basic misdemeanors to the most serious felony cases. San Diego DUI & Criminal Defense Attorney Mark Deniz as specialized his practice in Criminal Law, since he became an attorney in 2003. Before becoming an attorney, he has worked in the Sheriff’s Department, County Counsel’s Office, and worked with senior citizens.

Attorney Mark Deniz is a native of Southern California. He earned a scholarship playing college football and was awarded the honor of Academic All-American. After college, he spent a few years as a high school educator and a varsity football coach. He then followed his dreams and attended law school.

Mr. Deniz learned the prosecutor's side of the law while working for the DA's office. He knows where the law stands on criminal issues. He also understands where the law is weak, where evidence can be deemed inadmissable and when cases have a good chance of being thrown out or dismissed.

Mr. Deniz opened his own practice to focus on criminal cases. He brings his vast knowledge and first-hand experience to bear on every case he takes in his private practice. With his depth of experience, he knows how to get favorable results.
