Marwan El-Sayegh

Marwan El-Sayegh joined the Fasken team as a student in the summer of 2017 after graduating from the University of Ottawa with LL.L -Civil Law, Magna Cum Laude. In 2019, he graduated from the University of Oxford with a Master of Science in Law and Finance, with Honours. He completed his articling at Fasken in Montreal and joined the banking & financing team as an associate in 2020.

While a student, Marwan served on the Executive Committee of Business Law Association of the University of Ottawa. He also completed an exchange semester at the University of Reading in the United Kingdom. During his time at Oxford University, he was a member of the Oxford University Canadian Society, as well as a member of the Oxford Union. He was awarded a half-blue as a member of the 2019 Oxford Men’s Basketball Team. He also joined many associations such as the Oxford Strategy Group, the Finance Lab at Said Business School and the Oxford Law Society.
