Mathew P. Barry

Mathew serves as the managing partner for Harris Beach Murtha's offices located in Albany and Saratoga in New York's Capital Region. As a co-leader of the Financial Institutions Industry Team, Mathew assists clients in navigating complicated matters related to commercial real estate and lending. Collaborating with a diverse range of financial institutions, he contributes valuable insights into commercial lending and related real estate transactions.

In addition to advising on transactions related to the acquisition, sales, and leasing of commercial properties, Mathew is proficient in handling substantial multi-lender agreements, involving both traditional and alternative lenders throughout the Northeast. His client engagements encompass construction projects, commercial and industrial transactions, financings, refinancings, syndicated loans, credit lines, letters of credit, participations, equipment financing, SWAP transactions, and workouts. Mathew provides guidance for lenders on loans and leases to operators of renewable energy facilities, including solar and hydro-electric plants.

Certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as a designated closing counsel, Mathew manages the closing of SBA’s 504 Loan Program loans. He frequently facilitates SBA 7(a) and 504 loan transactions throughout New York State, representing both lenders and borrowers.
