Before entering into private practice, he worked for the Ohio Attorney General’s Office (1977-1983) and as Assistant to the President for Frostburg State University (1983-1988).


Among various affiliations, he is a member of the Allegany County and Maryland State Bar Associations; National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; NORML; and Past President, Chapter 172, Vietnam Veterans of America [LTC., JAG, Army Reserve, Retired]. He has an extensive background in criminal and family law with over 30 years of litigation experience. He has a wife and son, and is committed to many philanthropic endeavors.
