Michael Elliott recently joined RLB with more than 25 years of experience in the practice of law. Most recently his practice concentrated on the representation of individuals for purposes of estate planning, trust and probate administration, acting as counsel for guardianships and handling Medicaid appeals and otherwise contentious probate matters.

Michael began his career and still handles cases involving personal injury, product liability, premises liability, and serious injuries including wrongful death. Over the years he has developed other practice areas including employment law and litigation, financial or investment losses, other matters involving economic loss such as probate and trust litigation, business and contract disputes.

Michael has tried dozens of cases in as many different courts as well as in front of various arbitration tribunals and has handled as many appeals including appeals in front of the Ohio Supreme Court.

When asked about what drew him to RLB, Michael particularly liked the idea of practicing with a group of attorneys having a wide range of experience and practice areas and being able to collaborate with his peers. Just being able to discuss a matter with someone and get their thoughts and input is invaluable.

Michael looks forward to continuing to develop his practice in the probate and estate field as well as a return to his roots in terms of not only these other practice areas but serving many of the surrounding communities while being centrally located in downtown Akron.

Michael is a resident of Akron along with wife, Kim, an Akron Public School teacher and their two children Katherine and Kevin.
