About Nancy Vo
Nancy Vo serves as the Chair of Wilner & O’Reilly’s Employment-Based Immigration Department, bringing a distinguished academic background and a wealth of experience to her role. Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Whittier Law School, Ms. Vo earned her stripes as an editor on Whittier Law Review, with a published article in 2015 and a CALI award in Legal Writing. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Public Law from the University of California, San Diego.
Ms. Vo's journey with Wilner & O’Reilly began in 2015 when she started interning at the firm while attending law school. Progressing through the ranks, she later took on roles as a law clerk and case manager. Currently, Ms. Vo plays a pivotal role in the firm’s employment-based practice, bringing to bear skillful knowledge in non-immigrant petitions such as O-1s and P-1s for extraordinary and internationally recognized individuals, H-1Bs, L-1 intra-company transferees, and E-2 treaty investor visas. Her highly adept skills extends to a range of employment-based immigrant petitions and PERM Labor Certification applications. Ms. Vo also brings valuable experience to family-based immigration matters, including adjustment of status, I-751, 601/601A waivers, and VAWA.
Ms. Vo's personal background adds a unique perspective to her professional journey. Growing up in Los Angeles as a first-generation Vietnamese American with three older sisters and parents who were refugees from Vietnam, she holds the distinction of being the first in her family to enter the legal field.
Nancy Vo's commitment to legal excellence is complemented by her dedication to continuous learning and scholarly pursuits. She has contributed to legal discourse through her published work titled "BRIGHT-LINE RULE FOR WARRANTLESS CELL PHONE SEARCHES: WHY IT MAY NOT BE THE BRIGHTEST SOLUTION," featured in the Whittier Law Review in the academic year 2014-2015.
Before her time at Wilner & O’Reilly, Ms. Vo gained valuable experience as an Administrative Assistant at the Law Office of David Sean Dufek from 2011 to 2013. This foundational experience has undoubtedly contributed to her professional journey and the legal prowess she brings to her current role.
Outside of her professional commitments, Nancy indulges in a variety of interests. She enjoys arts and crafts, baking, reading, and watching movies.
