Biography
About Nathan Campbell
Nathan Campbell is a trial lawyer handling a variety of business litigation ranging from patent disputes to employment and real estate matters. In his first two years of practice, he played a significant role in two trials that led to impressive jury verdict wins for his clients.
In a case involving business disparagement that made national news, Mr. Campbell examined witnesses, argued motions, and drafted briefs. His client prevailed with a verdict that totaled $7.8 million, including interest. In the second trial, which involved a $120 million claim against the firm's client for harassment and discrimination, he argued the charge conference, drafted motions, and assisted with witness preparation. A federal jury unanimously held the client not liable.
Since then, Mr. Campbell has served as lead counsel on an attorneys’ fees bench trial and has delivered opening statements and examined witnesses in arbitration. Outside of trial, Mr. Campbell’s practice has encompassed a variety of civil litigation.
Representative examples of his experience include drafting briefs and motions in commercial litigation, deposing witnesses in patent and construction disputes, and successfully handling employment and real estate matters. In 2017, he successfully excluded an opposing party’s expert after deposing the expert, drafting the motion to exclude, and arguing the motion in court. In 2018, Mr. Campbell successfully defended a motion for summary judgment on an eight-figure claim, in which he primarily drafted the briefing and argued the defense at the summary judgment hearing.
A Harvard Law grad, Mr. Campbell was an article editor of the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology and volunteered as a student attorney at the Harvard Prison Legal Assistance Project. Before law school, he was a paralegal in the Boston office of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, where he assisted in False Claims Act investigations and litigation.
Mr. Campbell is also a graduate of the College of Holy Cross and completed intensive post-graduate Mandarin language training at National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan.
