Neil Wilson

Neil is a partner at Whelton Hiutin LLP. He practices in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, personal injury and administrative law. Neil represents clients in a broad range of matters including corporate, real estate and employment disputes. He also acts for victims of serious personal injuries. Whatever the case, Neil believes that the key to a successful result is strong, principled and intelligent representation.

Neil has argued cases at all levels of court in Ontario and has experience conducting trials, appeals and motions, including injunctions and summary judgment motions. Neil’s approach to litigation is both exacting and practical: he combines dedication to excellence in advocacy with a recognition that the law should not be overcomplicated. He is not afraid to tackle novel or difficult cases.

Neil is a regular writer and presenter on issues concerning civil litigation and access to justice. He has written for a variety of publications including the Advocates’ Journal, the Toronto Star and the Supreme Court Law Review.

Neil graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School where he participated in the intensive program at Parkdale Community Legal Services. He joined Stevenson Whelton in 2011 after completing a judicial clerkship at the Federal Court with the Honourable Justice Russel W. Zinn.
