Olivia Elsbeth Marbutt

Olivia Marbutt practices in the area of intellectual property, primarily focusing on patent litigation and counseling. She has experience with a wide array of technologies, including medical devices, data security, DSL, direct marketing, location based services, and voice response systems. Her experience covers all stages of litigation, including pleading, dispositive motions, discovery, motion practice, Markman hearings, settlement analysis and negotiation, and trial preparation.

Olivia also has experience with trademark clearance and prosecution, IP due diligence, trademark licensing, and copyright matters.

Representative clients include BBVA Compass, Frontier Communications, and Merial.

Olivia is a member of the State Bar of Georgia's Section of Intellectual Property and the Atlanta Bar Association's Intellectual Property Section. She devotes a significant amount of her time to volunteer and pro bono activities in the Atlanta area, including providing intellectual property related advice to The National Center for Civil and Human Rights. Olivia is an active member of the Junior League of Atlanta and Young Professionals for Education Equity. Prior to attending law school, Olivia was a Teach for America corps member and taught high school biology in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
