I began my legal career as a paralegal in 1999 by handling all aspects of the family and estate planning and probate practice for my boss, mentor and friend, Corwin B. Reed. During my years as a paralegal, I came to learn the importance of compassion and communication in dealing with clients and their legal problems. I was blessed to have a very patient and kind mentor who taught her to provide legal services with excellence. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans where I graduated cum laude while working and raising my boys. I then attended Loyola - School of Law where I graduated with a juris doctor. Further, I proudly served in the U.S. Navy both in active duty and as a reservist. In 2010, I opened my law firm, Billings Law, in Humble, Texas. In 2022, after my divorce, I decided to return to my maiden name, Garcia, and rebranded my law office to Garcia Family Law. Family law has and is my passion. I get an immense satisfaction in helping my clients transition from their relationships. Now that I have been through my own divorce, I truly understand what my clients go through. Please contact Heidi with my office to schedule your confidential consultation.
