Paul C. Galanides

Paul C. Galanides earned his Bachelor of Arts in European History from Washington & Lee University, followed by a Master of Arts from James Madison University. His academic work was recognized with the Carlton B. Smith Award for Outstanding Graduate Thesis. Paul began his legal studies at the University of Kentucky, where he interned with the public defender’s office, gaining valuable experience. After graduating in 1995, he worked as a Public Defender in Kentucky, representing clients in a wide range of criminal cases, including capital murder.

In 1998, Paul became a prosecutor for the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office, handling high-profile cases involving public corruption, capital murder, and white-collar crime. He later served as Assistant Attorney General in Virginia, representing the Commonwealth in numerous criminal appeals, including death penalty cases. In 2014, Paul transitioned to private practice, founding the Law Office of Paul C. Galanides, P.C., where he applies his 27 years of experience in criminal law to defend clients across Virginia. Known for his courtroom skill and comprehensive legal experience, Paul provides aggressive representation in various courts, from Juvenile Court to the Virginia Supreme Court.
