Paul J. Cornoni

Over the course of his career, personal injury lawyer Paul Cornoni has dedicated his practice to helping families put their lives back together after tragic events. He works to secure substantial settlements and verdicts in complex personal injury claims involving automobile accidents, product liability, medical malpractice, and bus accidents.

Paul has been recognized by Best Lawyers® as the 2026 Lawyer of the Year for Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs in Washington, DC, and has been named a Best Lawyer every year since 2016. In addition to being named a Washington, DC Super Lawyer every year since 2014, for the past two consecutive years, he has been named to the Top 100 Washington, DC Super Lawyers list. A past president of the D.C. Trial Lawyers Association, Paul provides pro bono counsel on personal injury claims while working in conjunction with the D.C. Bar Advice & Referral Clinic, the Children’s Law Center, and the D.C. Court of Appeals Mediation Program. Paul received the District of Columbia Bar Association’s 2025 Pro Bono Attorney of the Year award for his work on behalf of the District’s most vulnerable residents.

Paul has obtained some of the largest settlements and verdicts in the Washington DC Metro area; a $15.2 million verdict against a negligent property owner for failure to maintain the building and violating safety codes; a $6.4 million jury verdict for an ex-CIA employee who was injured in Sam’s Club when a car drove into the building; $4.25 million settlement for a car crash that caused a brain injury; $4.2 million verdict for a patron of a nightclub who was attacked leaving the establishment; and a jury verdict for $3.8 million after an automobile collision that caused a traumatic brain injury.
