Paul is the chair of the ABA Taxation Section's Sales, Exchange and Basis Committee, is a frequent speaker at the American Bar Association Section of the Michigan State Bar Association, and served on its taxation council and as past chair of the Taxation Committee of the Detroit and Oakland County Bar Associations. He is the author of over twenty published articles. Paul has spoken at more Michigan Institute of Continuing Legal Education programs than any other lawyer.
For more than four decades, Paul's practice has focused on representation of business and individual taxpayers in federal tax controversies at administrative levels as well as the Tax Court, and before other federal courts. He also devotes considerable time to estate planning.
