Biography
About Perry Maybrown
Perry Maybrown’s strong communication skills build the personal rapport needed for effective representation of her clients’ interests.
Perry’s sense of service to clients in need of trust and estate dispute resolution grew from her youthful observation of the helpful work she saw her lawyer parents perform. After earning a B.A. from Oberlin College with a focus on music, she spent three years exploring the legal field as both an intake-and-referral volunteer for the King County Bar Association, and as a supervisor at the Gallagher Law Library. Those work experiences propelled her into the University of Washington Law School, where she earned a J.D. and an LL.M. in Intellectual Property.
While at the University of Washington, Perry served as an extern for Justice Gordon McCloud of the Washington State Supreme Court. She also worked as a law school research assistant and served on the editorial staff of the Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts.
Following her law degree, Perry continued work she had started at the King County Bar Association’s Housing Justice Project Clinic by serving as a staff attorney at Tacoma Pro Bono litigating unlawful detainer actions on behalf of indigent tenants. The high-volume caseload demanded that she develop clear and supportive communication for clients in troubled circumstances, and it formed a basis for the relationships she would develop in later practice.
In her free time, Perry is devoted to fitness in all its forms, including CrossFit training, and hiking with her dog in the Washington outdoor world. She also enjoys silver-smithing, and making jewelry with stones she has cut herself.
