Peter DeFilippis, founder and principal trial attorney, graduated from Fordham University in 1985. He received his Juris Doctor Degree from Seton Hall Law School in 1988. He was admitted to the practice of law for the States of New York and New Jersey that same year. He is also admitted to practice in Federal Court in both the Southern and Eastern Districts.

Mr. DeFilippis has extensive personal injury, medical malpractice, and business law trial experience, and has favorably settled and won substantial verdicts in several high-profile cases. Over the course of his career, he has established a reputation as a dedicated, caring, and results-oriented litigator with a proven track record. Mr. DeFilippis has been an active member of the American Association of Justice, The New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and New York County Lawyers Association where he was an active member of the Committee for the Supreme Court. He was also an appointed Board Member of Community Board 8 on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. He is a New York County Judicial Delegate and serves as a member of one of the Judicial Selection Committees responsible for interviewing prospective judges seeking an endorsement for election or reelection. He was the Vice-Chair of a Law Committee for the County of New York. Since 1998 he has also volunteered his time as a Covenant House mentor and as a volunteer with New York Cares. He is a former member of the Board of Directors for Days of Wonder, a not-for-profit daycare center located in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. He is presently a member of the Parish Council for the Sacred Heart Church in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.
