Peter L. Curry

Peter Curry is a commercial real estate and economic development lawyer representing clients across the New York metropolitan area and nationally. Peter’s broad transactional practice includes commercial real estate sales, acquisitions, leasing, and development. Major corporations in the telecommunications, technology, pharmaceuticals manufacturing, food manufacturing and distribution, and other fields seek Peter’s assistance in real estate matters. He guides clients through the acquisition and disposal of headquarters sites, manufacturing facilities, and warehouse and distribution centers across the United States. Peter represents several large commercial lenders in real estate and construction loans. He also regularly advises mission-driven, not-for-profit corporations and groups on all aspects of their missions, goals, and objectives.

As one of the preeminent economic development attorneys in the region, Peter counsels real estate developers and owner-operators, commercial banks, and not-for-profit organizations on tax-exempt and taxable bond financings, as well as straight lease transactions, with all the metropolitan area industrial development agencies and local development corporations. These matters include the grant of economic assistance for corporate headquarters, factories and distribution centers, universities, hospitals and other civic facilities, as well as assisted living quarters and multifamily housing. He is also involved in obtaining grants, loans, and other benefits from state and local agencies to foster corporate job growth and retention.

Peter is counsel to the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island (CIBS). Given his broad experience and knowledge, Peter is frequently invited to lecture on Continuing Legal Education course panels for the New York State Bar Association, and before various attorney, accountant, and business panels.

Before joining Farrell Fritz, Peter chaired the real estate and financing practice group at a regional law firm in New York, serving on the firm’s Management Committee.
