Peter T. Cahill

PETER T. CAHILL, an Associate with the firm, focuses his practice on litigation of cases involving product liability, municipal liability, negligence, breach of contract, and insurance coverage.

Peter served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Judge Mary Anne Mason in the Cook County Court’s Chancery Division, where Peter assisted with the court’s insurance coverage caseload. Throughout the remainder of law school, Peter served as a Law Clerk with the City of Chicago Law Department, where Peter represented the City under Illinois Supreme Court Rule 711. Peter defended the City against a variety of tort claims in arbitration hearings and at trial. Upon graduation from law school, Peter was awarded a Public Service Recognition for pro bono legal work. Prior to attending law school, Peter worked as a Conflicts Assistant at a large law firm in Chicago, where he monitored and resolved potential client conflicts on behalf of the firm’s global-scale litigation and insurance practice groups.

Peter is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the Federal District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois and Central District of Illinois.

Peter received his B.A. from the University of Chicago in 2005, graduating with Departmental Honors in Political Science and General Honors in the College. He received his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2010.
