He also has written appellate briefs and argued cases at both state and federal appellate levels. In addition, he counsels clients on risk management, liability analysis, and quality assurance matters to assist in the development of defensive strategies for current lawsuits, and to avoid future litigation.

As a former Assistant District Attorney in the Investigation Bureau of the Bronx County District Attorney's office, Mr. Berman handled internal investigations and prosecutions of white collar criminal offenses, including fraud, embezzlement and forgery involving both small and large business entities.

He is a member of the New York State Medical Defense Lawyers Association and The Jewish Lawyers Guild.
