Robert C. Epstein

Robert C. Epstein is a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig's Construction Law, Real Estate Operations, and Real Estate Litigation groups. In over 40 years of practice, Bob has represented public and private owners, national tenants, subcontractors, suppliers, designers, sureties, lenders and other parties involved in major construction projects and disputes throughout the country. He is a “go to” litigator with significant courtroom experience and has handled a substantial number of complex construction litigations involving design defect claims, construction defect claims, delay claims, payment claims, claims against designer insurance carriers, and other disputes. He regularly leads internal investigations for clients to assess risk and determine appropriate strategies. Bob coordinates with engineers, architects, contractors, and insurers to identify root causes, oversee technical remediation, and guide clients through dispute resolution and litigation when necessary.

Bob, former co-chair of GT’s national construction practice, is a frequent author and lecturer in the area of construction law. Bob is recognized as a leading construction lawyer by a variety of publications, including, Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers Magazine, American Lawyer Media. Bob’s educational video, ' The Art of Managing Construction Risks, ' identifies risk areas on construction projects and examines how project owners may minimize these risks as they seek to achieve a successful project.
