Robert John Rosati

Robert Rosati focuses much of his practice on helping people secure disability insurance and life insurance benefits from their insurance companies. Over a 35-year career, he’s built the kind of appellate experience that often makes the difference in ERISA cases. He has filed and argued many appeals in federal circuit courts across the country, and he understands what it takes to win when the case is decided on the law and a written record—not on live testimony or cross-examination. Again and again, he has delivered strong results for clients fighting wrongful benefit denials. In addition to his ERISA and insurance work, Mr. Rosati is a seasoned trial lawyer who has handled cases involving accidents, sexual harassment, civil rights violations, and other claims against school districts, municipalities, and homeowners associations. Raised in Rochester, New York, he graduated magna cum laude from SUNY Albany in 1977 and earned his law degree from UC Hastings in 1983. He has practiced in San Francisco and Central California since 1983 and is the owner of the ERISA Law Center.
