In 2014, at the age of 32, Robert achieved an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating possible. According to Martindale-Hubbell, “AV Preeminent® is a significant rating accomplishment – a testament to the fact that a lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.” From 2019-2022, Robert was annually rated by Super Lawyers®, a peer-reviewed publication, as a Rising Star under 40, a distinction shared by only 2.5% of all qualifying lawyers in Florida. In 2024, his first year eligible, Robert was selected by Super Lawyers® in the field of personal injury, a list composed of only 5% of all practicing lawyers in Florida regardless of field or specialty. Robert was once again selected by Super Lawyers® in the field of personal injury in 2025. Since 2021, Robert has been included in Best Lawyers®, a peer-reviewed publication recognizing the top 5% of lawyers in the United States in private practice. He is also a member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum® and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum®. He is rated Superb (10.0) by the popular lawyer rating website, Avvo.
Robert continues to be very involved in the firm’s charitable efforts. Of note, Scott & Wallace annually funds the Scott & Wallace Holiday Turkey Giveaway, which feeds over 250 families during the Christmas season. Through its giveaway, Scott & Wallace has given over $100,000 in turkeys to families in need in the last decade. Robert is also extremely proud of Scott & Wallace’s partnership with Leon County Schools (LCS). Through that partnership the firm has created the ‘Winning Classrooms’ initiative that honors and recognizes an outstanding teacher each month during the school year, awarding an Apple iPad to the recipient, a cash donation to the classroom, publication of the award to the firm’s digital billboards, among other prizes. The firm also donates over 150 Halloween costumes each year to Title I elementary schools. The firm also donates over 50 winter coats and over 50 pairs of shoes annually to children matriculating at Title I schools. The firm has also given over $10,000 to fund the Conley Elementary Food Pantry, and annually funds and sponsors the Taylor Moseley Memorial Scholarship at Lincoln High School (the firm represented the family of 18 year old Taylor Moseley following her tragic death in a car accident in 2011). Additionally, Scott & Wallace makes many significant financial contributions to many local charities and altruistic causes in the communities it serves, many of which are anonymous.
Finally, as a proud alumnus, Robert is honored that Scott & Wallace has entered a multiyear partnership with Florida State University Athletics as the Official Injury Lawyers of the Florida State Seminoles®. This synergetic partnership allows Scott & Wallace to participate in, support, and highlight the achievements of FSU’s student-athletes, while also allowing the firm to illuminate the work of educators and other difference-makers in the communities it serves through on-the-field recognition and other creative outreach.
Robert resides in Tallahassee with his wife, Darby, and their two children, Tatum and Bodie.
