Sagar Patel

Sagar specializes in advising global corporate and private equity clients on a wide range of public and private transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, collaborations, spinoffs, and restructurings. In his first year of practice at an international AmLaw 50 law firm, Sagar was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America: “Ones to Watch", Corporate Law, 2024 – 2026.

Sagar previously worked as an associate in Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management group, served as a fellow at Alumni Ventures (in part, deferred), and actively invests in Y Combinator-backed startups and healthcare companies.

Prior to founding Jurvo, Sagar was involved in the following selected matters:

Corporate

• Represented a governmental entity in its $2.5 billion strategic collaboration with a public healthcare system focused on developing a hospital and cancer treatment facilities.
• Reresented an Ex-NFL seller in an early cash-out transaction concerning the sale of a $150 million furniture company.

Mergers & Acquisitions

• Represented a Houston-based private equity firm specializing in energy, chemical, and industrial sector investments in its all-cash acquisition of a Mexico-based logistics company. The target was a subsidiary of a bankrupt truckload carrier—the largest in U.S. history to file for bankruptcy. As part of the restructuring, the firm injected $165 million to refinance the company's debt before its closure.
• Represented an NYSE-listed S&P 500 real estate investment trust in its $30 million retail transactions involving its majority interest in an unconsolidated joint venture.
• Represented an internationally publicly traded diagnostics company in its acquisition of a testing laboratory.
