About Sam (Xinyuan) Li
Sam (Xinyuan) Li is originally from Mainland China, coming to the United States in 2012 to complete his undergraduate and post-graduate studies. He received his undergraduate degree in International Studies from the American University’s School of International Service in 2016 with summa cum laude honors.
Sam recevied his law degree from the George Washington University Law School in 2019, focusing his studies on immigration law. As a student at GW Law, he was recognized as a Thurgood Marshall Scholar and the GW Law Silver Pro Bono Recognition. In Spring of 2019, Sam interned with Judge Erik P. Christian’s Chambers at Superior Court of Washington D.C. In the Fall of 2018, he worked as a student attorney with the GW Law Immigration Clinic. Sam also interned with the GW Law Immigration Clinic in the summer of 2018.
Sam is a Chinese national, fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He utilizes his international background, having resided in Mainland China through high school and subsequently coming to the United States to complete his post-secondary education, to his advantage in practicing law. His eastern ethnicity and western education background have been granting him a unique perspective on immigration matters, which he applies to his work on behalf of international citizen and U.S. corporations alike. As an international citizen himself, Sam is enthusiastic to help businesses in channeling human resources and individuals in achieving their American and international dreams.
