Scott Joseph Harris

Scott J. Harris is a dedicated legal professional focusing on defending professionals and businesses facing challenges from state governmental agencies. Formerly a Deputy Attorney General with the California Department of Justice, he represented numerous licensing agencies under the Department of Consumer Affairs and served the People of California. His role as Liaison Deputy for the Licensing Section afforded him the unique skills to manage cases involving professional licensing discipline, license applications, petitions for reinstatement, administrative appeals, and Writ of Mandamus in the Superior Court. In addition to professional licensing, Scott has extensive experience in general business and personal civil litigation, as well as representing clients in state criminal court proceedings.

Scott is passionate about Administrative Law and Professional License Defense, drawing on years of insight gained from both prosecuting and defending licensed professionals. As an Adjunct Professor at Loyola Law School, he focuses on Administrative Law and Appellate Advocacy, earning recognition as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers for seven consecutive years. With degrees from Johns Hopkins University and Loyola Law School, Scott is adept at navigating complex legal landscapes to provide outstanding advocacy for his clients.
