Steven L. Langer

A partner with Langer & Langer, Steven L. Langer represents the rights and interests of people living in Valparaiso, Indianapolis, Northwest Indiana and other parts of Indiana. He focuses his practice on personal injury, medical malpractice, complex litigation, car and truck crashes, and wrongful death.

After graduating from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1977, Mr. Langer decided to pursue a career in law. He went to Valparaiso University Law School and earned his Juris Doctor in 1980.

For over 30 years, Mr. Langer has helped people seek appropriate compensation for their injuries. He knows the challenges that people face when they have been hurt through the negligence of a company or another person. These challenges include lost wages, continued medical care, mounting bills, medical costs, property damage and even psychological and emotional trauma. Mr. Langer listens to his client’s struggles and then aggressively pursues monetary justice for them.

Mr. Langer's excellent legal skills and dedication have earned him several honors over the years. The National Trial Lawyers named him one of the top 100 trial lawyers, and he has been selected as one of The Best Lawyers in America* since 2014. The Indiana Trial Lawyers Association gave him the consumer advocate of the year award in 2003. On May 8, 2014, Mr. Langer was elected as the President of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association for a one year term. In addition to these recognitions, Mr. Langer holds the highest rating of AV-Preeminent** from Martindale Hubbell.

When he is not working with clients, Mr. Langer remains active in his community. He is a member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice and the Indiana State Bar Association. Furthermore, he is the author of several articles relating to medical malpractice and evidence.
