Biography

Meet Thomas G. Kemmy — car accidents lawyer in Odessa

Thomas G. Kemmy is a founder based in Odessa, TX. The practice focuses on Car Accidents, Contracts, and Energy. Thomas has over 40 years of legal experience. Currently practicing at Kemmy Law Firm, P.C.. Rated 4.5 out of 5 from 9 client reviews.

Tom built the Kemmy Law Firm for people who don’t want to feel like just another client. He combines compassion, skill, and over 30 years of trial experience to deliver transformative results for ordinary people and small business owners when they’ve been injured or harmed by large corporations.

A successful and experienced trial attorney, Tom believes in his clients and persuades insurance representatives and juries alike. He has won large verdicts and settlements in a wide range of cases involving catastrophic and fatal injuries, medical negligence, oil and gas royalty disputes, and other business torts. Clients praise his ability to resolve situations “quickly, efficiently and effectively,” and in a way that makes them feel heard, comfortable, and part of the team.

In 1986, Tom started practicing law in San Antonio, and worked for a premier insurance defense law firm. During his time on the defense side of litigation, he saw first-hand how large corporations protected their own interests. After three and a half years of defense practice, Tom, his wife Ginger, and their four children moved to Africa to serve as lay missionaries in a remote area in Mongu, Zambia. While in Zambia, Tom worked with farmers and villagers supporting their efforts to sustain their families in sometimes harsh environments. Ginger, a registered nurse, worked with women and malnourished children and provided medical and nutritional support.

Upon returning from Zambia three years later, Tom opened a single-lawyer office in San Antonio, Texas and has been representing people with personal injuries, work-related accidents, medical malpractice, and business-related losses for more than 30 years. He credits the significant verdicts and settlements that he’s achieved to his passion for helping people who would otherwise lack the resources to hold the rich and powerful accountable.

In more recent years, Kemmy Law Firm has expanded to include four of Tom’s sons and his daughter-in-law; each of whom are capable lawyers, devoted to providing excellent trial work for their clients.

Tom prides himself on client service and working tirelessly for amazing results. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law and was named a Super Lawyer 2010-2011, 2015-2019. He is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
