Tyrone C. Moncriffe is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and Board Certified in criminal law in the state of Texas.
Currently he is a faculty member of the Criminal Law Institute. Attorney Moncriffe handles serious cases and always strives for excellence in the courtroom. He graduated from Texas Southern University Magna Cum Laude and received his Juris Doctorate from Thrugood Marshall School of Law in 1982. He was voted as Texas Super Lawyers in Texas Monthly magazine in 2006 - 2015 and one of the Best Lawyers in Houston in 2008 - 2015. Voted Nation Top 1% Percent - 2008 -2015 by the National Association of Distinguish Counsel in 2015. Voted Top 100 Trial Lawyers 2012-2015, Top 100 Black Trial Lawyers 2013-2015, awarded The Community Hero in 2014 by Demars & Associates.
He is an active faculty member of the Trial Advocacy Institute. Mr. Moncriffe is a Board of Director for the National Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He was voted by the National Criminal Defense Lawyers Association as one of it's Best Speaker in 2010 and 2011.
