About Wesley N. Steury
Wes Steury is of counsel at Burt Blee and specializes in bankruptcy, creditor’s rights and mortgage foreclosures. With nearly 40 years of experience in bankruptcies, Wes assists both consumer and corporate debtors in Chapters 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies. As part of his bankruptcy practice, he also assists clients in lien avoidances, adversary proceedings and debt settlement.
Wes focuses part of his practice in the areas of creditors’ rights including, but not limited to, preparation of proof of claims, objections to consumer and business bankruptcy plans, and preparation of reaffirmation agreements. He also represents clients in bankruptcy litigation, including objections to discharge, defense of preferential transfer and other avoidance actions, motions for relief from stay and abandonment of property, and other general creditor representation. He also provides counsel in the areas of mortgage foreclosures (creditor and debtor representation), estate planning and nonprofit corporation representation.
Outside of Burt Blee, Wes currently serves as the President of the Missionary Church Investment Foundation, a nonprofit organization that loans money to churches for building projects.
