Donald E. "Don" Templeton

Don Templeton is a partner at Dunn Carney, and is co-leader of the litigation team. Don has a diverse litigation practice, including more than three decades of experience in the areas of insurance coverage, professional liability, insurance defense, real estate litigation, estate and trust litigation, and business litigation.

Don has successfully tried to verdict more than 50 cases in the state and federal courts in Oregon and Washington. In addition to his extensive trial experience, Don has successfully resolved numerous cases and disputes through arbitration and mediation.

At the beginning of each case and matter, Don talks with the client about the client’s goals and options, and then develops a plan to achieve the client’s goals. Don involves the client in the decision making process from beginning to end. Don aggressively represents the client’s interests and position, while at the same time remaining pragmatic to achieve the client’s goals as efficiently and economical as possible. This includes exploring early options of resolving the dispute when the client wants to explore these options.
