About Kenneth James Novenstern
Kenneth J. Novenstern was admitted to practice law in the state of New York in 1985. He commenced the practice of law in Syracuse, NY at the matrimonial firm of Alderman & Alderman. He moved back to Westchester County in 1986 and continued the practice of matrimonial law in White Plains, NY. He has been a member of the Mount Kisco legal community since 1987.
Mr. Novenstern has been engaged in all facets of matrimonial law for over 31 years. His work in the matrimonial field has included litigation for that entire period and has been expanded to include mediation and collaborative law since 2004. Having seen the impact of actively litigated matters on people’s lives and finances, he has gained a greater appreciation for the importance of alternative dispute resolution methods in the matrimonial field. To stay prepared to address situations, which arise at collaborative conferences, he has taken every opportunity to obtain additional training and to enter into discussions with other collaborative law attorneys. He has lectured for the New York State Bar Association Family Law Section Continuing Education Program, and has taught classes in family law at Berkeley College in White Plains, NY.
